Caring for Your Silk
Silk is a fine, delicate fibre, and becomes even more so when wet, so a little extra care goes a long way in protecting your investment. We always recommend hand washing your silk sleepwear rather than machine washing. Use cold water, never lukewarm, and avoid soaking your garments for longer than three to five minutes. A mild, preferably liquid detergent is best, with fabric softener avoided altogether. Try to minimise creasing while washing, and if a stain appears, dab gently rather than rubbing. Once washed, lay your silk flat to dry, away from direct sunlight.
